Introducing Intelis NetWorks

Since its founding, Intelis, s.r.o. has specialized in developing enterprise applications in the fields of utilities and telecommunications. During this period, we have developed over 15 unique enterprise applications for leading network infrastructure administrators in the Czech Republic. However, each solution was created according to the client's requirements, on a custom basis, and is therefore operated and developed independently. Market analysis shows that customized solutions are no longer preferred, and customers prefer ready-made software products or services that they can quickly deploy and start using.

Intelis assessed this situation as a strategic opportunity and this year began the gradual consolidation of these unique applications into a single software package called Intelis NetWorks. A key part of this strategy is the unification of applications into a comprehensive platform – for Intelis, this is clearly Microsoft .NET and the newly created Intelis Framework. However, consolidation is not just a technical aspect of rewriting program code. It is necessary to review the individual functions of each solution and consider how this function should be implemented in the product so that it meets the broadest possible market needs and continues to deliver value.

The first application to undergo this process is Investment Management, which Intelis is currently implementing in the UCED energy group. The model for Investment Management is the EVIS enterprise application, created for Innogy, now GasNet. This year, key basic functions for managing investment construction will be implemented, and development will continue in the coming years.

These are just the first steps for Intelis NetWorks. The product roadmap contains visions for the next few years and responds to technical and legislative challenges. The resulting Intelis NetWorks product package aims to become a unique solution on the European market and compete with solutions from companies such as SAP and IBM.
